Newton's Laws
Gabrielle Thomas
Newton's 1st Law
Newton's 1st Law is that an object in motion, stays in motion. An object that is at rest stays at rest, unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. Its net force= 0. It is also known as " Law of Inertia"
Newton's 2nd Law
Newton's 2nd Law of motion, sometimes called the Law of Force & Motion or Law of Acceleration, states that; an object acted on by unbalanced force will accelerate in the direction of that force, in direct proportion to the strength of the force, and in inverse proportion to the mass of the object. Formula: force= mass*acceleration (f=m*a) mass= force/acceleration (m=f/a) acceleration=force/mass (a=f/m)
Newton's 3rd Law
For every action force there is an equal but opposite reaction force. When you are dealing with forces between two different objects.
Ex: two boys on a skateboard pulling off of each other.
