Two Are Better Than One
Dear Friends,
As 2016 comes to a close, we are so thankful for all of you that have made a difference in the lives of many! In 2016 E49 Corporation celebrated our 7th year anniversary and Suite 210 celebrated its 3rd year! This year, as we focused on uniting churches, businesses, non-profits and civic organizations to solve social issues, we launched the first phase of our “Housing & Hope™” model. Housing & Hope™ addresses the foundational needs of Housing, Mentoring and Employment in the cause areas of Homelessness, Sex Trafficking, Under-served Youth and Poverty. We are very excited to see H&H grow, along with a few other “wins” this year:
- Day of Hope – E49 in partnership with Oak Park and Arden Arcade churches and Sac City and San Juan School Districts, we served over 3000 students and families with food, haircuts, medical services, groceries, school uniforms, clothing, sports equipment, children’s activities and entertainment.
- Hoops to Hope – E49 in partnership with the Sacramento Kings, youth were provided with tickets to Sacramento Kings HoopsToHope games and Jr. NBA Kings sports camps. In addition, the Sacramento Kings provided funding back to E49 through ticket sales and 50/50 raffles.
- Winter Sanctuary – E49 in partnership with Sacramento Steps Forward, First Step Communities and Sacramento Self Help Housing are providing shelter to Homeless individuals for 132 nights in churches throughout the Region.
- The Pearl House – E49 in partnership with Real Estate with Purpose and Love Never Fails, is providing a co-living home in a dorm environment to sex-trafficking survivors that includes, case management, life and skills mentoring and opportunities for employment and education.
- Business/Nonprofit Incubation – E49 in partnership with With Purpose Inc. and over 25 experienced Business Executives in the Sacramento Region are educating, mentoring and launching businesses that have a financial and social mission and provide needed jobs in our area, funded by Sacramento City’s Innovation Department and the RAILS grant.
And for 2017, mark your calendars for three regional events:
“Sac4Good Conference” May 2017 where we will highlight the good in our Region“Sacramento Junior Kings 3v3 Tournament” Fathers Day 2017
“Big Day of Hope” September 2017 where the Region comes together through multiple local Day of Hope.
We are so thankful for each of you and your willingness to unite around our community!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

An update on our most recent activity...
Housing
E49, area Pastors and community leaders had our first Housing & Hope™ Coalition meeting focused on executing plans around Homelessness! The purpose of this meeting was to build teams, assign team leads and pick a project! Our first project will be focused on immediate impact through sheltering in either tiny homes or church properties we call "Hope Centers". We have one location in Del Paso Heights and are looking for two other locations in South Sacramento and North Highlands. Interested? Let us know! We are very excited to see the church community make a difference! Email us at info@E49corp.org and let us know! To learn more check www.housingandhope.com
Business Incubation
Mentoring
Currently we are mentoring the girls in the Pearl House and are soon starting our mentoring program that will be training more mentors for the girls (and others) that come through the Housing & Hope™ program. Interested in learning more? Check out our website!
Meet E49 member Nicolette Romig
Nicolette Romig has been spending most of her time focused on mentoring the girls in the Pearl House, as well as preparing, coordinating and scheduling churches for the Winter Sanctuary program. Needless to say she is busy! Nicolette, also a Chaplain, says the most rewarding part of mentorship is putting her faith into action by serving and loving people who have been overlooked. Mentoring at-risk girls and caring for the homeless through E49 has been a blessing and privilege for her and allows her to live out Matthew 25:40. Thank you Nicolette for all that you do!
