The 4 effects of the War of 1812

The first effect of the war was the economy. During the war many factories grew and America didn't have to depend on the British to for the manufacturing.

The second effect of the war was politics. The federalists look less patriotic because of how they fled during the war. Whereas William Henry and Andrew Jackson looked like heroes.

The third effect of the war was the foreign relations. America had became a world power and no longer had to depend on the British for everything.

The fourth and final effect is the culture. America no longer looked to Europe instead they looked west to expand. America also created a unique culture distinct from Europe. And lastly America entered a period of nationalism.
