News from the Counselor...

Graduating Seniors

The Financial Aid season is around the corner and the ideal time to file is between January 1st and March 2nd. In preparation for this, on Thursday December 11th all seniors were given an overview on what financial aid, the different types of financial aid available, and how/where to apply for financial aid. Our counselor, Mr. Jamerson, met with all of the seniors on Thursday, 12/10, to go over the financial aid process. Students were also informed about the upcoming Cash For College events throughout the county where they can get free professional help to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the California Dream Act Application. In addition, students received information about the Petaluma Education Foundation's (PEF) scholarship application which has a deadline application date of February 10, 2016. All seniors are encouraged to complete the PEF application which connects to 58 scholarships.
