January News
Principal's Message
Hello East Primary Families,
Wow, somehow January slid right into February. After returning from Christmas vacation students worked hard to complete the winter benchmark assessments and they are showing tremendous growth. Thanks for all you do to help support the growth and learning of your child. We couldn’t do it without you!
Please be aware if your child is missing immunizations February 21st is Exclusion Day, on this day students with missing immunizations will not be able to attend school until immunizations are current. Please make sure your child is current with their shots prior to this date.
East Primary is excited to be offering yearbooks again this year. To purchase and customize your yearbook, go to https://www.treering.com/purchase?PassCode=1016185750264095, the price is $20.00 and the deadline for customizing the yearbook is April 22, 2024.
It is hard to believe we are finished with January and are just over half way through the school year. Please take a moment to review the important dates below to be prepared for upcoming dates when students will not be in school. February 19th is Presidents' Day, no school. Our next round of Parent/Teacher Conferences will be in March, March 1 there will be no school, this is a teacher in-service day to prepare for conferences. Conferences will be held on March 7 and 8 these are non school days for students as well. Teachers will be reaching out in February to schedule conference times.
I look forward to our continued work together. Thank you for partnering with us!

Conscious Discipline for Families
February's Conscious Discipline for Families will focus on creating a wish well.
This month we will create a wish well and a "job" board to help shift from noticing what you DON'T want a child to do, to noticing what you DO want your child to do. When you make this shift, your children will become more self-aware and willing to act in helpful ways.
Join us Monday, February 12th 5:30-7:15pm. Dinner and childcare will be provided.
