DMS Family Weekly Newsletter
We have some exciting things happening around the middle school for the holidays and rewards for students who have On Track behavior and no missing assignments! On the 15th, each class will be called down to the cafeteria to decorate a Michigan or Michigan State cookie. This is a behavior reward for students who have no referrals for the week. On the 26th, there is a no missing work reward for students who have all their assignments turned in. We are looking forward to everyone getting to participate in these activities.
We are also trying to spread some holiday cheer throughout the community. We are collecting cans for a canned food drive through November 26th. There are prizes involved for the class that brings in the most cans and a school reward if we meet the goal of 1,000 items donated. There is also a money collection drive for the American Cancer Society. The teacher who receives the least amount of money has to shave off half their beard! Thank you to Mr. Brown and the Student Links for organizing these events. We will begin to collect Toys for Tots December 1st, so if you are out Black Friday shopping please keep this in mind.
Do you buy gift cards for stocking stuffers? If you buy them through our PAC group, the school earns back a portion of the money you spend on gift cards. Orders are due December 6th and the gift cards will be delivered before winter break. The information sheet is attached. I did this last year and it was a win for me and the school. Please check it out!
We will be having our first movie night this Wednesday, November 13th, after school until 5:00 PM. The cost for students to attend is $5.00 and they will get two pieces of pizza and a drink. The concession stand will also be open.
Have a wonderful Railroader week!
