WEB-Where Everyone Belongs
Explorer’s Student to Student mentor program, WEB, has begun! WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs. It is a program where 8th grade leaders pair up with 6th grade students to build community and form relationships across grade levels. This year, we had over sixty 8th grade students apply to volunteer to mentor other students. They will be going in to 6th grade classes once a month during Eagles Landing for WEB Wednesday. Each month, the mentors will attend the same class with different games and lessons to help their mentees feel more comfortable at Explorer. We are excited to have this program up and running this year!
This month WEB leaders went into classes to play a name game, do an activity on working together, and received some words of wisdom from their 8th grade leaders.

reminder on checking your child's grades
All teachers will update student grades in Qmlativ twice a month. Many teachers also use Schoology to post assignments, communicate, and/or grades. This can be very helpful if your child is home sick.
Always feel free to reach out to your child's teachers and counselor whenever you'd like.
Email is the best way to communicate. From email you can arrange meetings or telephone conversations when and if needed. Click the email directory below.
Reminder-every teacher uses Qmlativ, some teachers also use Schoology. Your child does know if there teacher posts assignments etc. on Schoology.
Please clink the links below to learn how to sign in and navigate Qmlativ and Schoololgy. Let me know if you have questions after you check them out.
