Big picture

WEB-Where Everyone Belongs

Explorer’s Student to Student mentor program, WEB, has begun! WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs. It is a program where 8th grade leaders pair up with 6th grade students to build community and form relationships across grade levels. This year, we had over sixty 8th grade students apply to volunteer to mentor other students. They will be going in to 6th grade classes once a month during Eagles Landing for WEB Wednesday. Each month, the mentors will attend the same class with different games and lessons to help their mentees feel more comfortable at Explorer. We are excited to have this program up and running this year!

This month WEB leaders went into classes to play a name game, do an activity on working together, and received some words of wisdom from their 8th grade leaders.

Explorer's holiday shop

Every year Explorer hosts a Holiday Shop where students can choose gifts for family and wrap them. Last year, due to Covid, it looked different.

We would like to shake it up again and invite all students to participate. Students can donate, shop, and/or help others wrap gifts.

We are still working on the details. I will keep you posted on how students can shop or wrap at the Holiday Shop.

In the meantime, we need donations. New or in excellent condition gifts and toys are needed.

Students can bring donations to the Resource Room, families can drop off at the main office, cash donations can be sent to PTO via PayPal or Zelle explorerptotreasurer@gmail.com

or you can shop off our Amazon Wish List.

Thank you all for your support!

You’ll need to make sure that you sign up for each on FinalForms. You will also need to make sure that you have a physical on file with Explorer that has been completed within the last two years. Please get your child’s physicals completed and turned into the office as soon as possible.
