  • To all the moms out there, I hope that you had a splendidly wonderful Mother's Day. =) Yesterday was simply a beautiful day!

  • A request from our noon supervising staff: So, May is in full force, and so are the students! If you are willing and able to volunteer, please consider peeking in the cafeteria and/or on the playground sometime. The kids adore you and would be less likely to be defiant and or disrespectful in your presence. It's just a thought, and much appreciated if you can help. It takes a village!

  • Anyone have a stockpile of lined paper in your room? Although we've ordered just as much as always, it appears that we've run out early this year. If you have some that you could donate back to the cause, please bring it down to the office. Thank you!

  • Let's welcome Jeff Waters to MMS as a noon supervisor! Jeff and Elyse have traded spots for the remainder of the year. He's coming to us from Klager while Elyse is enjoying the thrills of "little kid" supervision. If you see him around, please say, "Hi!"

  • Our faculty meetings were slightly off schedule this year (this happened

the district). Therefore, we'll only have one meeting during the month of May: May 19. It will be a traditional faculty/staff meeting in the media center.

  • From Charlene

: MCS educators are invited to attend free, mixed-level yoga classes this May. The practice of yoga has been shown to have many benefits- from healing

to stress-reduction and mindfulness, to increasing strength and flexibility.

Staff from any building are invited to attend any

or all three classes. Here are some details:

All classes will begin at 3:45 to allow teachers from all buildings to get there. Classes will be 1 hour long, ending at 4:45.

May 26- Middle School- Room 308 (Srsly room) room change

May 31- Klager- Room 119 (OT room) date change
