MONIQUE ALBERTS AT UN CARIBBEAN
MONDAY, 1ST JULY 2019
PRESENTATION ON MONDAY, 1ST JULY
The United Nations Information Centre for the Caribbean Area (UNIC) is pleased to inform that it will launch its SDG Doors and Gallery on Monday 01 July 2019, from 10am to 12 noon.
The Gallery will feature the exhibition of 17 painted doors located along the main corridor of the UNIC Caribbean office in Port of Spain, Trinidad; the result of a fruitful art collaboration between our office and a local high school, St. Joseph’s Convent.
These SDG-themed works of art represent a tangible expression of the UNIC’s continued promotion of the accessibility and inclusiveness of the Sustainable Development Goals as well as its commitment to fostering collaboration with diverse partners.
Civil Society Organisations will share their experiences
As part of the launch celebration, the UNIC will also host and livestream a Panel discussion for Civil Society Organisations to share their experiences with integrating the SDGs into their respective mandates and initiatives. This discussion begins at 11am (Trinidad time) and is being designed to encourage dynamic and organic interaction and exchanges, preferably without the use of formal presentation tools e.g. power point etc.
Monique Alberts will participate.
In this regard, Monique Alberts will participate on this Panel, as Immediate Past President of the Association of Caribbean Universities, Research and Institutional Libraries (ACURIL), to share experiences at the helm of ACURIL 2019, which focused on the Sustainable Development Goals.
