Tuesday-Field Trip to Churchville Nature Center-We will be outdoors all day. Please dress appropriately-wear a jacket; comfortable clothes, sneakers and bring a bag lunch.

Curriculum for the Week
We have begun an author study on Eric Kimmel. He will be visiting Gayman on April 29. This week we will be using his books to learn about visualizing. We will also be reading a lot of different poems to also learn about visualizing. The skills for this week are the following skills:
- r controlled vowels
- synonyms and antonyms
The kids have been doing an amazing job researching their rocks! They are learning how to use the web and nonfictions books to find more information to include in their reports. This week the children will be revising and editing their rough drafts. They will be making a model of their rock out of clay and painting it to look like the rock they are researching.

Please remember to have your child practice their spelling words using the Spelling City website https://www.spellingcity.com/gayman/. Please look for Sort 39 for this week's words
