Weekly Update
Dear Intermediate Wildcat Families,
Happy Spring! We continue to work hard here at Intermediate to support all learners in our hybrid model. Next week does bring back more in-person learners (those already enrolled in person in 3rd grade dual and 4th & 5th-grade students notified by the administration to attend weekly (T-F) as of April 9th have been updated in our system. Please note that students will remain in their current Method of Instruction for the rest of this school year and all Mondays are remote learning days. No further changes will be made.
We are excited to begin planning for next year. Please continue to complete the below form for student placement for the fall rather than sending emails. It is easier for organizations on our side, and we appreciate your support in this request. Please make note that our teachers are very thoughtful and work hard to make the best placement for your child.
With that said, by completing the form provided, we can add your input to the process. Additionally, make note that requesting a specific teacher is not appropriate and we will try our best to include in our process a friend to help with the transition.
I also want to share with you an update from the School Board and our Superintendent, Dr. Casey. I am including a link for you to access that update.

Please mark your calendars for our REMOTE STUDENT Supply Pickup on April 14-April 15 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the West gym. It is self-service. Please park in the West parking lot and enter the west doors. Find your child's classroom teacher and pick up their supplies.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Another reminder that today is a SIP DAY 12:30 dismissal (parent pick up will begin at 12:20) and Monday, April 12, is a non-attendance day for students so staff can prepare for the 4th quarter as well as for expansion in the in-person learners.
Sincerely,
Lisa

TRANSPORTATION
Please check your child’s bus information by logging in HERE. You will need your Family ID Number which is both the login and password. You can find this in Skyward Family Access under “Student Information”. (View "My Child's Family" and look for "Family ID Number".) If a bus stop change is needed, please fill out the Revised Bus Information form as soon as possible. For further assistance, please call the main Transportation number at 847-856-3644 or email Trans@dist50.net.
PARENT DROP OFF/PARENT PICK UP: For those of you choosing to have your child participate in the parent pick-up, please make note that there is NO entry into our school during arrival and dismissal M-F. You must enter from Hunt Club Rd & Dada. If you are on the Cemetery Roadside, you can turn down Orchard Valley, drive straight to Hunt Club, and turn right to get into the West parking lot. We will have staff available to direct you once you arrive for drop-off and pick up. We will begin parent pick up at 2:55 daily and buses will begin dismissal around 3:15 daily.
MORNING DROP-OFF: For morning drop-off begins at 9:00 am. Please note that we will end parent drop-off at 9:15 each day. If you arrive after 9:15, please park and walk your child to the main entrance door. A staff member will make sure that self-certification has been completed and escort your child to their homeroom classroom.
AFTERNOON EARLY PICK UP: We are requesting that if you need to pick your child up early from school that you notify the office at 847-596-5900 by 2:15 the day of pick up. This will allow us to notify the classroom teacher of the early release. If you call after 2:15 pm, the office will do their best to have your child available but it may take longer to have them meet up with you because of the short notice.

Virtual Recess Continues
We realize that many of our students are struggling socially and emotionally in the virtual learning environment not having the opportunity to see and interact with their friends. So we will continue our virtual recess times for our remote learners during their scheduled recess time. This is a completely optional activity. We want to provide our students the opportunity to get their wiggles and side conversations out in a safe environment. We will be utilizing the Google Meet platform for our Virtual Recess and we will have our Recess Supervisors leading the activities. Homeroom teachers will be sending out the Google Meet codes through Schoology and Seesaw. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Pablo Arboleda at parboleda@dist50.net or Dr. Tim Tyrell at ttyrell@dist50.net. You can also reach out to your child's teacher.
