Who is Charles Borromeo?
St. Charles Borromeo was names a cardinal and made secretary of the state under his uncle, Pope Pius IV. He was then name Archbishop of Milan. They were on the side of Catholic Church.
What did he contributed?
He helped the dioceses of Milan. He held a lot of council and diocesan synods to implement the terms of Trent. He established three seminaries for training clergy and required annual retreats for all clerics. His reformed was in a book call "Acts of the Church of Milan." He founded an organization with over 2,000 teacher and 740 schools.
