Check with the ballet school or studio to see if you need any special colors.Leotards are designed so your teacher can see your posture clearer than when you wear baggy clothes. You can even get special ballet outfits from ballet or dance stores. Sometimes, you can even can even wear flowers dress or in your hair. You can even wear pretty tutus and accessories too, but mostly only in shows. In ballet class, you wear your leotard, with tights, a little skirt, and your hair in a tight bun.
Moves and what you do
Some ballet moves look hard but they may not be as hard as you think! Here are many different kinds of moves you can do. Some are advanced and some are easy. A pirouette is an advanced turn that is performed in older classes. Also, a potabráe, changémont and padashadé are some more advanced moves. Plea and tondo are some of the first moves you will learn. In ballet, you will stretch, exercise, dance, work on gracefulness, do across the floor, and barre and center work. Across the floor is when you practice certain moves while doing it across the floor in groups.
Equipment
In the sticky, hot, sweaty, ballet studio, there is more equipment than you may think! You sometimes have fans to cool you off when you are working hard. You need a proper dance floor to be able to dance on. You also need a ballet barre for barre work. You may want to consider keeping your ballet slippers or shoes in a ballet bag.
