Sub-Saharan Africa Is Very Diverse!
"Sub-Saharan" refers to the location of this part of Africa (below the Sahara Desert.) There are 50 countries in this part of Africa and they are still struggling with the lasting effects of decades of European colonialism. There are grasslands in the northern part, tropical regions in the central part and mines in the southern part of Sub-Saharan Africa.

The grasslands are dry except in the rainy season.
Mining in the South!
The southern part of Africa is known for its diamond mines.
Blue Nile Falls of Ethiopia
This part of Africa is considered tropical. Just look at the lush vegetation and the plentiful water.
