Anna Park

All About Me

My name is Anna Park. I am currently an 11th grader at Johns Creek High School. My life is revolved around leadership, service, and good relationships. I strive to become a successful business woman and pursue a life in New York City.

I am an active member of the Junior Class Council and have been on the council since freshman year. I am the current Treasurer of the Beta Club, soon-to-be President for the 2015-2016 school year. I am also the President of the Johns Creek High School Flood Chapter. Flood is a student community missions organization that provides opportunities for students to serve. This year was my first year being a co-captain of the Johns Creek High School Color Guard and Winter Guard. I will continue to be co-captain as I move into my senior year. This is also my fifth year on my church's student leadership team.

Being heavily involved with Flood and the Beta Club, I am constantly spending my free time serving in the community. On Saturdays, I love to serve at the Roswell Nursing Home, playing bingo and talking with the residents. I spend some weekends at Hurt Park, an area in Downtown Atlanta where homeless people gather for free food and other necessities that churches and non-profit organizations will bring. Through service, I am able to create relationships with people, gain exposure to new perspectives, and uncover more about my personal character.

I dedicate numerous hours each week, rehearsing with my Color Guard. We have competitions almost every weekend and it is one of the activities that I have grown to be the most passionate for. When I am not practicing, I love to cook and bake. Ever since I was young, I enjoyed watching cooking shows. While watching these shows, I decided to take on the challenge for myself in the kitchen. My favorite meal I made myself was a Prime Rib Roast with Thyme Au Jus, Roasted Potatoes with Herbs, and Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus with Red Velvet Cake for dessert.

Work Experience

For my first two summers of high school, I worked full-time as a Youth Intern at my church's summer camp. Through this experience, I was able to learn a lot. I learned that I am good with working with different types of people and children. Since 2014, I have started working at SweetFrog, a premium frozen yogurt place. At SweetFrog, I am able to practice a good work ethic and make relationships with my co-workers.
