Wednesday Night LIVE 6:15 pm
Elementary students will meet in the GYM for our series “Lights, Camera, Action!”. Kids are learning how to pull Biblical truths out of any movie and apply them to their lives. Topics covered in the series will include: jealousy, integrity, friendship, persistence, and encouragement. We are watching movie clips from classic kids movies each week. Kids will have fun learning with games, movie/lesson, and group discussion. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need at least one additional volunteer to assist the next few Wednesday nights. You can pick a night at this link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0549acaa23ab9-wednesday2
Our focus Wednesday is PERSISTENCE, Peter and John continually preached the Good News. Our movie clip comes from Finding Nemo. Kids will learn we should never give up on pursuing God.
Preschoolers: Preschoolers will enjoy a Bible lesson, an art activity, and center play.

5TH GRADE SMALL GROUP IMPACT MEETS SUNDAY, FEB. 11TH 6-7PM
Fifth grade small group meets Sunday, February 11th from 6-7 pm their room.
We will continue our series on choosing our friends wisely. Preteens often believe that making friends mean they must work to fit in. Popularity lures them into acting differently and doing things they might not otherwise do. It’s important for kids this age to learn that God doesn’t call us to fit in with the general population—he wants us to stand out for him!
REMEMBER our 5th grade retreat Exit456 March 10-11 at Camp Sumatanga. What is Exit456? It’s a gathering of tweens from the North Alabama Conference of the United Methodist church. Every Tween is searching for identity. Many will look to their peers or pop culture to define who they are, but that never leads us to our true identity. Tweens need to be reminded that they are created in the image of God, loved and valued by God, and given a new identity through faith in Christ.
Cost is $25 each and includes lodging overnight, 3 meals, snacks, and a t-shirt. We leave Friday, March 10th around 4:30pm (we will take a church bus) and we will return Saturday, March 11th around 4pm.
I can promise you that your 5th grader will LOVE this event! Talk to middle schoolers that have attended in the past. Lots of great music & worship, talks from many youth and children’s leaders in our conference, crazy games, and more. Please let me know if your 5th grader will be attending. They are welcome to invite a 5th grade friend.
Preschool Brainstorming this Sunday at 3:30pm
MOVE BUILD GROW: WINTER GAMES
SUNDAY NIGHT FEBRUARY 11TH -- 5-6PM
MOVE BUILD GROW is for kids in preschool and elementary school. Nursery is available. Children will meet in the children's building: Nursery/Preschool downstairs and Elementary age upstairs. Aftercare for nursery and preschool age children only is available until 7 pm.
Our first series for elementary-agers is WINTER GAMES (think Olympics). Kids are in age-based small groups rotating through Games, Drama/Music, and Bible/Devotion. This week kids will learn that we can trust God to lead us to victory no matter how difficult the challenge we face may be.
“All who take part in the games train hard. They do it to get a crown that will not last. But we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” 1 Corinthians 9:25 (NIRV)
Our mission project (see Peanut Butter & Jelly Time below) will take us on a field trip to TEAM on Sunday, February 25th. Bring a friend!
Preschoolers will have separate activities that will include music, Bible story, crafts, and center play.
