Family Read Night
Wednesday, October 16
6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Hopefully you will be able to join us for this fun filled event. All of the activities for the evening will incorporate the 2020 Bluestem and Monarch books.
Again this year, we will have several Gift Baskets to be raffled off. Each basket contains a Bluestem or Monarch book as well as items that relate to the theme of the book. Your child will be able to purchase tickets at school October 7-October 16 and the night of Family Read Night. Tickets for the raffle will be $.50 each. NO CHANGE WILL BE AVAILABLE SO PLEASE DO NOT SEND LARGE DENOMINATIONS. Winners will be announced at the end of Family Read Night, but need not be present to win. All of the money collected by the sale of tickets will be donated to Pawsitive Therapy Troupe.
This year, we will have a room dedicated to Rescue and Jessica, a Monarch book about a therapy dog. Children will have a chance to read to a therapy dog from Pawsitive Therapy Troupe. Due to the nature of this room, we will have limited slots available at each session time. Please fill out the formthat was sent home with your child and return by Friday, October 11 if your child is interested in reading to one of our dogs. We will randomly choose families from the returned slips to receive tickets and will then send the tickets home with your child prior to the event. Families will need this ticket to enter the dog room. If there is space, tickets may available the night of the event. If chosen, please bring a book that your child can read independently to our therapy dogs.
