Stephen Foster was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvannia on July 4th. He was a famous minstrel and is most remembered for the song Oh Susana and Camptown Racers. His Place of death was in New York City, New York.

Life of Foster

Stephen Foster was credited for being Americas first Composer. His songs that were composed were all catchy and had a infectious rhythm. Foster was the Youngest out of eleven children. Foster was said to be a self taught musician and wrote very simple poetry.
