Eastern Asia!
Eastern Asia
Eastern Asia is anchored by China, the 3rd largest country in the world in terms of population and area. China includes areas like the Taklamakan Desert and the Himilayan Mountains that are sparsely populated. In the interior there are fertile plains with large rivers and many crops are grown here and many people live here. Taiwan and Japan are island nations.
Politically Eastern Asia is diverse as well. Mongolia, North Korea and China all became communist countries in the 20th century; however, Mongolia has moved away from communism. The economies in China and the rest of eastern Asia are growing rapidly; China has moved away from communistic economic policies, but retains its communistic political policies and governmental structure.
