BEHS-2020 Graduation Information
Last day to turn in work, book return, & ceremony sign up!
Seniors and Parents of Seniors
The last day for turning in work for your classes is Friday May 8th (Seniors Only), which would have been the day following senior final exams, (This semester NO finals are being administered, AP exams are the exception). This will provide time to update grades and enter them into the graduation progress sheet and get them posted onto transcripts.
Any outside credit is to be submitted to the school by Friday, May 1st, (e.g. BYU correspondence classes) for courses that need to be considered for meeting Graduation requirements.
We will be collecting books, instruments, JROTC uniforms, cameras, sports uniforms or any school district property, from seniors when you come in for the video recording. We will use this time to update fines and fees and plan to distribute Diplomas on Saturday May 16th.
Video shoot for footage to create the virtual graduation ceremony will begin via 'sign up genius' link provided below starting on Thursday April 30th.
We are gearing up to have pre-recorded student and staff speeches, national anthem, and acceptance of the class, as well as reading of the names recorded coming across the stage. We will be putting the virtual ceremony on our Web page, on a DVD or Flash Drive for you, as well as providing a link on Youtube.
What is needed from you:
- Student/Parents sign up for a specific time, this Thurs/Fri/Mon on the sign up genius link below.
- On the day and time you select park in the front of school.
- Students with no more than four family members from their own household will walk in the front entrance to pick up Cap and Gown, which will be ironed and have if earned, cords, sashes, and medals ready to change into. You will then proceed to designated video area for our personalized video recording.
- Graduates will be recorded answering a couple of prompts of their choice to provide footage for us to edit into the final ceremony video.
- Then we will have each graduate go to the gym, where the stage is set, we will call name, graduate will walk and pick up diploma cover, turn your tassel from one side to the other, and have photo op. This is where up to 4 members from your household can be present and take pictures.
- The school will taking pictures of all graduates and send info out in a link to print pictures as well.
-Then you will exit the gym by the Lynx gym and exit out to the front parking lot again.
*Social Distancing will be enforced, with exception of reader on stage, staff will be wearing masks, diploma covers will be empty, and we will provide you with a new cover and your diploma on Saturday the 16th.
