Family Math Night
Superintendent of Schools Anthony Polito provided an introduction, followed by a talk by Math Consultants Heather Johnson and Molly Vokey, a powerpoint presentation, and a question and answer session. Stations were set up, allowing families to see specific examples of key concepts and procedures as well as practice their math skills. A special thank you to Pleasant Street teachers Linda Robinson, Robyn Robertson, and Rosemary Magee for running instructional stations. Many thanks to Pleasant Street paraprofessionals Theresa Mann, Angela Deveneau, and Karen Rexroad for providing childcare. Lastly, we are so proud of our fourth graders Madison G, Sarah H., Lucas G., and Karlee M. for being such outstanding student volunteers who came to demonstrate lessons at an instructional station.
A few snapshots from math night are included below. Photos are courtesy of Mitchell R. Grosky. For a more detailed reporting and some amazing photos please visit the Celebrate Schools Athol Royalston FaceBook site at: https://www.facebook.com/CelebratingSchools
