Do boys carry more items in their backpack or girls?
Type of Investigation: Comparative
Hypothesis
Parts Of The Experiment
Dependent variable- The amount of heavy items in the backpack
Independent variable – Gender
Control – none
Experimental group- The High School Students
Two Factors held constant- One factor is the data being taken into consideration. This means that heavy items such as textbooks, full water bottles, Ipad and Laptop are only counted as heavy items while anything else apart from that in this list (such as a ball or shoes) aren't counted though they may be heavy. Another factor that is kept constant is the backpacks. This means that only heavy items are counted in the student's backpack which excludes gym bags, things in hand carry or anything that isn't in the student's backpack.
