How to Record and Submit an Assignment on Essential Elements Inervactive:
Remote Learning Notes
Second Year Instrumentalists who are Remote Learners
We met for our first class last week on Microsoft Teams. Each student was sorted into an AM or PM Band/Orchestra Class based off of students' remote schedules. We worked in tandem with each students' remote teacher to figure out the best time and day to meet. Class times have been communicated with all remote teachers, students, and parents. Each student is in an AM class or a PM class, not both. Please reach out to your remote teacher or music teacher if you have questions. Here are the times for each class:
Band:
AM Class- Wednesday at 9:20
PM Class- Monday at 12:45
Orchestra:
AM Class- Thursday at 9:20
PM Class- Tuesday at 12:45
Beginning an Instrument as a Remote Learner
The past two weeks, we hosted an after school, in-person testing and interview for 4th and 5th grade remote students who are interested in starting an instrument. We have put together envelopes that will be mailed home about instrument recommendations and information on the Music Expo. Keep an eye out for an envelope from the Quincy Music Department in the mail!
Check out this 4 minute video on what happens in your brain when a human plays an instrument:
