Angler fish
Adaptations
Description
Angler fish have a natural light source to attract food. Like sharks, angler fish have sharp teeth to easily kill and eat prey, but they aren't that sharp on the sides. Some angler fish have teeth that are 3/4 of the size of a measuring stick. That's long! And deadly. They can also stand up to insane water pressure. Angler fish almost have the size and fins of regular fish.
Habitat
Angler fish may look scary, but don't worry! When I explained that they can stand up to insane water pressure, they live world wide in the Abyssopelagic zone. In case you don't know, the Abyssopelagic zone is the second deepest part of the ocean. Very few sea creatures live in that zone.
Other Abyssopelagic creatures
Gulper
The only eel that has the biggest, widest mouth ever. So big, it can even fit a soccer ball or two!
White haired crab
The only crab that calls the Abyssopelagic zone home. Why so much hair on his arms you ask? You'll find out next time!
Abyssopelagic shrimp
You think that's an ordinary shrimp? Think again. This shrimp has a TRICK to survival.
