Thank You!
On behalf of the faculty and staff of Burke-Memorial, thanks to all of our families for the delicious luncheon which MEPTO sponsored for us on Friday, November 15th. We truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of this gesture. Walking into a beautifully decorated faculty room to enjoy a warm catered lunch was a much needed treat. We certainly feel appreciated and lucky to be part of the Medway community. Thank you!

Students Vote for Town Dog Tag
Once again, Burke-Memorial School students had a voice in a town decision as they voted on the 2020 Town Dog Tag. Students were able to cast their vote for both the color and shape of the tag. We are pleased to announce that in 2020 Medway will introduce the BLUE HEART tag. Nearly 2,000 Medway dogs will wear this tag next year. Special thanks to Mrs. Curran and Mrs. Laidlaw and their second grade students for overseeing the election and to the Town of Medway for allowing our students to participate in this election!
Cold Weather Reminders
As the weather starts to get colder, we make every attempt to get students outside for fresh air and exercise each day. While we do not like to call indoor recess, there are times when we must to ensure the safety of our students and staff. When making this decision, we consider the actual temperature, the wind-chill factor and the condition of our school yard. Please also remember that recess is 25 minutes long. When sending your student to school, please ensure that your child is prepared to go outside for recess. Weather conditions change frequently during the course of the day and it is difficult to predict what the weather will look like during recess time. Parents are asked to put student names or classroom numbers on all winter gear so that we can help reunite items with owners should they get separated.
