Principal's Update
11/12/20
Dear Families,
Advent, the season of Hope, Faith, Joy, Peace. As the season of Advent is upon us, this year
more than ever, we are reminded of our many blessings; it is important to take some time
to reflect upon and prepare for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Sunday, November 29thmarked, the beginning of Advent; a time for us to renew, rejoice and
to share our hope with each other. During this time, we focus on our family, our friends and
those in need of our support in our community. As we reach out to one another and
celebrate the gifts of each other, may this blessed season inspire us to continue to be a
people of kindness, mercy, and hope.
As a result of the recent announcement from our Provincial Government, our at-school
students will be transitioning to online learning for the week of January 4 to January 8,
2021. We wanted to reach out to let you know that teaching and learning at John Paul I will
continue as usual; our students will be fully engaged in their academic program.
May the miracle of Christmas remind us of our many blessings and bring peace, love, and
gratitude to your families. Wishing all our families a Blessed Christmas.

Advent began on Sunday, November 29. Many families in our community are struggling during these hard-uncertain times. In keeping with our whole school Social Justice Project of Sharing the Christmas Spirit, by generously giving to others, we are inviting our students to bring in Grocery Store Gift Cards.
We will be accepting the gift cards until Wednesday, December 16.
Recognizing Sacraments
If your child has celebrated one of the sacraments, please email a picture of your child to your teacher as we would love to post it on our Sacramental board.
