Principal's Comment
Kia ora Parents and Caregivers
Today in assembly we presented our school councillors with their leaders badges. Class councillors were voted in by their classmates in our Year 3-6 classes. Congratulations children.
We are so lucky to have the Napier Aquatic Centre and Omni Gym on our 'back doorstep'. We use both facilities throughout the year. Our Year 3-6 classes have been attending gym sessions this term. I've included some action shots below.
Another reminder that our new 'Hero' app is now up and running. I've included instructions below on how to connect. Please contact the school office if you have any issues.
Have a great weekend Whanau!

Introducing our new school councillors for 2023!

Freddi won the Principal's Award today for outstanding public service

Dear Mr Bloor
I would like to bring to your attention the kind and helpful behaviour of one of your students, a Freddi from a year 5 class.
I hadn't met Freddi or his grandparents before but they stopped their car and offered me a hand with shifting chopped up wood from a beautiful spruce tree on my property in Gallipoli Road. Regrettably it had to be felled as it had become a safety hazard following the recent cyclone.
Freddie commented it had been his favourite tree. He willingly helped his grandfather and me transfer the wood to a wood shed some 100 metres away. Freddie remained positive and confident throughout the somewhat arduous task.
Freddie showed he was a credit to himself, his family and to his school, which he spoke proudly of.
Can I ask that you pass this message onto to his teacher so that Freddi can be further acknowledged for his helpful, kind behaviour, setting a positive example for others.
Thank you
Heather

Start of school day
Our first school bell rings at 8:30am for children to enter school. If a child does arrive earlier they are required to sit in the seated area.
Please ensure children are not at school before 8:20am as we are unable to provide supervision.
If your child needs to be dropped off earlier please use the 'Schools Out' service which operates from the hall (there is a cost for this). Logan is the manager and his number is 027 418 7197.
