Winter Eagle Time Registration!

We had so much fun making corn bread and having our Thanksgiving feast!

Today we began our 5 senses unit by learning about our sense of sight. We discussed how we can observe and describe different objects, places and other things. The students then used paint to practice mixing colors to create different colors. They had fun making their color wheels!

Today we wrote and drew about the month of December. We are proud to hang our work in our classroom for all to enjoy!

We are back to having our guided reading groups! The children had a smooth return to the reading group routines! They are enjoying reading books that are right for them. I will be sending home a paper, in the next Tuesday folder, that explains the different stages of reading and what reading "looks" like for students at that stage. Please let me know if you have any questions about your child's reading progression. Also remember to use Raz-kids to practice reading at home!

We have such fun every day using our Go Noodle movements! We have explored the movements as well as the calming and think about it sections. Look below in the website section for the link. This morning we were zumba dancing and I just had to record the students. Enjoy!

We finished up our 5 senses science unit today. The children used their sense of hearing and smell to figure out mystery items by just listening or smelling them. Then the students used the mystery box to feel and describe different shapes and objects and then guessed what they were. Also they learned that our taste buds taste salty, sweet, sour and bitter foods. They are learning to use describing words when making observations and discussing objects.
