Meeting the Needs of Online and Blended Educators

What professional learning do online teachers need to support them in providing quality online experiences to learners? Join us as researchers from the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL), Midwest’s former Virtual Education Research Alliance (VERA), present a survey tool designed to explore the alignment of virtual education professional development with the experiences, challenges, and preferences expressed by online teachers. Researchers will present how the tool was developed in collaboration with Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS). WVS staff will share:
- key findings from the first survey
- implementation strategies to meet identified needs
- preliminary findings of the second implementation of the survey
