District to begin community survey calls Sept. 7
Future planning to propel the district forward and support goals that lead to the success of Blue Valley students is an important responsibility that the district and its Board of Education take seriously.
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 7, Blue Valley Schools will be conducting a survey to learn how the community views potential facility projects, rates of taxation and perceived value. The first phase of the survey will be conducted via phone to randomly selected participants. The second phase will be an online survey. Watch for more information in the coming weeks on how to participate in the online survey. Thank you in advance for your valuable insight.
Class of 2022 looks back on their journey through Blue Valley
As many recent Blue Valley graduates have started classes across the country at universities, community colleges, trade schools, or begin in the workforce, Blue Valley wants to wish them all good luck in their future endeavors.
We are so proud to see the sense of family and community that is built through each student's journey here in Blue Valley. Hear from recent graduates on the impact Blue Valley educators made on them.
Game day atmosphere
Blue Valley high schools are excited to have your families come to support their high school activities and athletics this school year. We are asking our parent community to partner with us as we work to encourage a positive atmosphere for our high school games or events.
Sportsmanship/officials: We want to give our student athletes the opportunity to play as many games as possible and we need officials to make those games happen. With a local and national shortage of officials, we want to make sure officials continue to choose to work Blue Valley events. The number one way we can create a welcoming environment is for spectators, coaches and student athletes to be courteous and respect the official’s decisions.
Tailgating: Tailgating before games has become a tradition for many students and families. We love to see our community gathering together to enjoy food and tailgate games in our parking lots. As a reminder, alcohol and tobacco are not allowed on district property including parking lots.
Elementary and middle school students: We are asking that all elementary and middle school students enter the game with an adult and sit with that adult throughout the game. Please do not drop your child off at a district event without supervision as they will not be allowed to enter. It is challenging to monitor and keep all students safe without the help of our parent community.
Thank you for your help in making our district events a great experience for all who attend. We hope to see your family cheering for our Blue Valley teams this school year.
Families can visit the Blue Valley School District Food and Nutrition web page to learn about the services provided to all students which include: Free and Reduce meal applications, meal prices, daily school menus, dietary accommodations, setting up and making meal account payments on the Titan family portal.
As a reminder, the federal funding support that has provided free school breakfast and lunch for the past two years came to an end at the conclusion of the 2021-22 school year. Families should note that those who don’t qualify for Free and Reduced meals will be charged the paid meal price.
