Important: Complete a Meal Benefits Application by Feb. 26, 2021
Please consider applying for 2021-2022 meal benefits by February 26, 2021. For every student that turns in a qualifying free and reduced lunch application, the school receives federal funds that benefit the student and teachers at the school.
These funds provide additional teachers and staff for the school which means more services
for students, especially students that are struggling in reading or math.
These funds also are used for materials and supplies for students and teachers. These are valuable resources that teachers can use to improve student achievement.
Yes, meals will still be free for all students through June 2021 but
we still need you to complete a meal benefits application so our school
can be eligible for this extra funding next year.
Information about applying for Meal Benefits for the 2020-21 school year can be found at www.wcpss.net/Page/1849 . Help our school continue to receive this funding by completing an application online at MySchoolApps.com. Paper applications
can be requested by calling 919-588-3535.
What's Happening? Counseling Lessons
Every grade will be working on the Anti-Bias unit where we focus on treating everyone, despite any differences, with respect and empathy. Please see below for family letters and book recommendations to teach about diversity.

POSITIVITY PROJECT
February 2021
The P2 traits this month are INTEGRITY, LOVE, HUMILITY, and OPM: Cheering others' success.
If your student received a P2 award for Quarter 2, please use this link to find their certificate.
To help students continue these lessons and practice in daily life, you can use the P2 Book List or P2 for Families resource (password is "P2"). (Links below).
We also encourage you to have all of your family members take the character strength survey. This can be a great way to learn more about P2 and connect with LME!
