The First step in wilderness survival is shelter. When looking for shelter keep in mind the animals and insects that may be in the area, weather such as sun, wind and rain and sources of food and water. Some examples of a natural shelters are below.
A spear can be made by rubbing the end of a stick on a rock until the end has a sharp point.
A bow can be made with a flexible stick and some type of string such as shoe laces, and can be used to shoot shorter spears.
Some type of food found in the wilderness that can be hunted with the weapons made are birds, rabbits and fish.
Fire can be used to keep you warm, give you light in the night, cook food and make a signal fire. There are many ways to start a fire. A fire can be started by making sparks between two hard objects.
