Hitting Your Potential
We are all readers and sometimes we go back and reread material that resonates so much we have to share with others. In the book "BIG POTENTIAL" by Shawn Achor he writes about how we were raised with "All of us spending the first twenty-two years of our life being judged and praised for our individual attributes and how much we can achieve alone, when for the rest of our life, our success almost entirely is interconnected with that of others." Think about your day, your responsibilities, your tasks at hand- almost every aspect of your potential, your success as a leader, from intelligence to engagement is interconnected with others. Oddly enough, society has taught us that it's better to be a BIG Fish is a small pond than to work together with lots of fish in the pond. You need to be the best, make the most, win the race, etc. but the real power of potential comes when the power of one is made stronger by the power of others. Working Together- Being Better Together. Being an effective and successful leader and is achieved when we truly learn how to lift others and utilize our team for their strengths, so we share the success, and all succeed.
