Please Be MIndful Over Thanksgiving Break...

Coleman families,

Although we have two weeks before Thanksgiving break begins, I would truly appreciate if families began thinking proactively as Thanksgiving plans are finalized.

Student and teacher safety is a top priority at Coleman Middle School. Through our processes and procedures, we have strived to reduce health risks as much as possible during fall semester.

We kindly request that your child and family make safe and healthy choices during Thanksgiving break - especially if your family is traveling and/or attending large gatherings. Please wear masks and practice social distancing!

If your child experiences symptoms or comes into contact with a positive COVID-19 case during Thanksgiving, please do not send your child to school on Monday, November 30 (the day we return from break). Please follow up with us via a phone call on Monday, November 30 to ensure a safe return!

We have been blessed with very few positive COVID-19 cases and close contacts so far, and we really need your help to continue this healthy trend!

Instructional Preferences for Spring 2021 - Deadline Extended!

Gwinnett County Public Schools will extend the window for families to make a decision regarding their instructional preference for 2nd semester for their children. The new deadline will be 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 29.

The Spring Instructional Preference Questionnaire is available in the Parent Portal. Again, the questionnaire will remain open through 11:59 p.m. on November 29.

If a parent or guardian already has made a selection, changes can be made through the deadline. The updated preference will be displayed the next school day. Please note that what a parent sees indicated in the Parent Portal as their decision will serve as confirmation of their selection.

If a parent does not have a parent portal account, they can go to the school district website for information or contact their local school to request one.

Your preference can ONLY be made through Parent Portal. If you don't have a parent portal account, you may come in person to fill out the registration form or email colemanrecords@gcpsk12.org.

Once the window preferences closes on November 29, we are NOT honoring changes as they have a significant impact on planning for student/staff safety and scheduling!
