Tech Tip Tuesday for April 19, 2016
Polling Feature Added to Google Classroom
Recently, Google released a polling option in Google Classroom. This option offers a multiple choice poll question by selecting the "+" in the lower right hand corner of your Google Classroom. From there, select "create question." A question box will appear in the middle of your page where you add the question, write a description, select multiple choice, and then add your choices. Finally, select "Ask." For additional information and uses in your classroom, be sure to check out the Google for Education Blog.
National Poetry Month
This April marks the 20th anniversary of National Poetry Month. This celebration was first introduced in 1996 to increase the awareness and appreciation of poetry in the United States. To celebrate, I have the perfect app for you! Visual Poetry offers a wide range of text collages. Students simply open the app, type their poem, then select a shape or style for their poem. Students may also select font, font colors, and size. Email me if you would like a free code for Visual Poetry.
