Principal Corner

Happy Holidays,

We hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Break and are looking forward to the upcoming Holiday Break. If you are like me, holidays are a time of reflection, fun, and a bit of stress. So at this time, I want to thank all of the Grace Jordan parents for helping us at school during this busy time as well as throughout the year.

  • a thank you to all the parents who volunteered and gave us help when needed
  • a thank you to all the parents who regularly looked through students' backpacks, read our school communication, participate in class dojo, and read e-mail
  • a thank you to all the parents who called in when their child was ill and would be absent from school and
  • a thank you to all the parents who made sure their children spent time reading at home.

We all appreciate you and hope you take time together as a family to enjoy your holiday!

Office Updates

As a reminder, we will be locking our front doors beginning Monday, December 10th. There will be instructions near the front door to buzz in. Since the office needs to open the doors, we will need someone at the front desk at all times. We are asking parents to help us as we make this transition. Please discuss with your child what he or she will be doing after school in the morning before school. If something changes during the day and you need to get a message to your child, please call in before 3:00 p.m. This will give us plenty of time to make sure that your child gets the message.

Grace Jordan Christmas Run

We are excited to announce the YMCA is partnering with Grace Jordan to offer families a special rate to run the Christmas Run on December 22nd. All families must return the registration form and check for the YMCA to Nancy Jennings at the front office no later than December 14th.

Elann Peterson, one of our amazing parents, will be coordinating this event and picking up race packets. Families that register will meet on the 22nd at the Subway parking lot, next to Boise High at 9:40 to receive their bib numbers and shirts before the race. Click below for the registration form or feel free to pick up a form in the front office. We are looking forward to seeing you at the race!
