Principal's Message
School Family,
We have finished our first quarter of the 2022-2023 school year. Hopefully, you were able to join your child's teacher on October 21st for Parent Teacher Conferences. We have looked at our school-wide data and we have noticed that our students need to work on recognizing letters and counting. We will start with recognizing the letters in each child's name. We will also work on counting collections at school. We also determined that the scholars need support with identifying emotions. We will spend the next quarter working on these skills.
Families there are some things you can do at home to support what your scholar is learning at school. You can help by playing letter recognition bingo with your child, or if your child already knows their letters you can play letter sound bingo with your child. Families can also help by giving your scholar collections of items to count. An example of this would be to ask your scholar to count a bag of pennies or to count all of the forks in the drawer in the kitchen. When your child has finished counting, ask him/her to tell you how many objects were counted. If you have an advanced counter at home, you can give them a larger collection and ask your scholar to draw their collection, label it with numbers, and tell you how many objects were counted.
Families, we had so many wonderful events this past month. You will find photos of our Cub Cougars below. In November we will have the following events:
