A Cappella Bake Sale!
Temple's Low Key A Cappella group is having its first bake sale of the year at the corner of 16th Street and Berks on this Thursday, October 18, from 10 pm to 2 am. Come join us for a treat and maybe a song or two! Venmo is accepted!
The Witch Screening with TUHSSA
Temple's Undergraduate History and Social Sciences Association (TUHSSA) is screening Roger Eggers' The Witch (2015) as part of its monthly historical film screening. To put it briefly, it is a historical fiction film about religious superstition of witches in 1630s New England.
The screening in the Weigley Room (Gladfelter 914) this week on Friday, October 19, at 4 pm. Come join us for the film as well as a student-led discussion afterwards!
Learn Hebrew and Arabic side by side with the Alif Bet Fellowship!
Alif Bet is a student and peer-run fellowship whose goal is to create a comfortable environment of cultural and linguistic exchange focusing on the similarities between the Hebrew and Arabic languages. We aim to meet semi-regularly throughout the rest of the semester, gathering around food and exploring the linguistic heritages of Hebrew and Arabic. If you have background experience in either language, please come, but no experience is necessary to participate!

Jumpstart Philadelphia Volunteer Event
At the end of the month on Thursday, October 25, Jumpstart Philadelphia at Temple University is hosting our annual Read for the Record event to create the largest shared reading experience for early education. Jumpstart partners with local preschools where we are reading "Maybe Something Beautiful" by Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. Temple Theater’s Side Stage: Ben Vargas Short Stuff Festival
Calling all playwrights, directors, and designers!
Temple Theater’s Side Stage is looking for student playwrights, directors, dramaturgs, and designers for the upcoming Ben Vargas Short Stuff Festival, which features a series of student-written and student-produced short plays. Please follow the links below if you would like to submit your short play for consideration (these should be no more than 20 pages in length), or apply to be a director or dramaturg during the process. All submissions and applications are due by midnight on Friday, October 26.

Temple's Undergraduate History and Social Sciences Association is calling for student submissions in their semesterly research journal sponsored by the Temple University Library Press. The subjects include but are not limited to, American Studies, Art History, Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Economics, English, Gender/Sexuality/Women's Studies, Geography/Urban Studies, Global Studies, History, Political Science, and Sociology. This is your chance to show off your best work and to potentially put something cool on your résumé!
