Happy Friday! It looks like March 29th we return to our hybrid model of in person learning. We are excited to see our students who can return to campus, but want our students who will continue to learn online to know that they will continue to be supported in every way.
During the week of March 22nd, Mandatory Time will not be held as teachers will be preparing for the return of students after lunch. Students needing support that week from teachers, should contact their teachers directly.
As we transition to in person learning, any encouragement you have for our staff is appreciated. You can use THIS FORM to send a message.
Please know that we appreciate our La Mesa students and families very much!

Student ID Cards REQUIRED for Students Returning to Campus
If they did not attend picture day, we will be taking their phot on the first day of their in-person classes and issuing them a student ID card.
We will be using the ID for morning check in and to award HOWL points throughout the school day.
HOWL Points - Would you be willing to donate items for rewards?
We hope you might will consider checking out our La Mesa Amazon Wish List and donate items for our HOWL point redemptions. Please feel free to pass along the link to friends, family and post it on your social media feeds. We also welcome ideas for items that you think students would enjoy.
Students can redeem items by logging into their Five Star Student account. The "sign on" link is in the upper right corner of the page.
We appreciate your ongoing support.
Campus Tours for 7th Graders (and 8th Graders new to La Mesa this year)
We are so excited to welcome students back to in-person learning starting on March 29th. We realize our 7th grade students and a few of our 8th grade students have never been on the La Mesa campus. In order to allow for a smooth transition back to campus, we are offering campus tours so students know their way around.
A tour is not required as we will have plenty adults on hand the first week back to ensure everyone finds their way.
Please use the link below to sign up your family up for a time slot. This will be a self guided tour with QR odes at each station to share information. Staff will be located throughout the tour to assist with maintaining social distancing and answer questions. We encourage you to bring your child's schedule, which can be found in Infinite Campus.
Please note that all people entering campus will need to go through our symptom screening and must wear a mask the entire time while on campus.
As slots fill up, we may add more options, so please check back on the link often.
Please be on the lookout for important messages from both the La Mesa and the Hart District so you can stay informed about our return. If you did not attend on of our parent information meetings, you can view the slide decks HERE.
In Person Learning REMINDERS
- On days when they have PE, students are required to wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing that allow them to participate in PE. Students will not be able to change in the locker-room.
- Students may bring their fully charged personal laptop or Chromebook to school.
- Cell phones must be turned off and placed into a backpack (not pockets) before entering campus. They may access it again after they exit the main gates at the end of the school day.
- Students should bring pens, pencils, highlighters and other writing tools along with needed notebooks to school with them each day.
- Students may only use the water fountains to fill bottles. All students should bring a refillable water container to school with them.
