Dear Rose Glen Families,

I hope this newsletter finds everyone getting settled into summer. What a year! We are so proud of all that we were able to accomplish this year given the challenge of COVID. Thank you for all that you did to get us through this year. Thank you to all of our face to face families for your flexibility throughout the school year as we navigated some closings early in the year. Thank you to all of our virtual families for remaining engaged and committed to learning throughout the entire year. We are in a great place to SOAR LIKE EAGLES moving into the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. I know that many of us would like to quickly forget all things 2020-2021, but always remember that we conquered this together. Together we committed to creating the best possible learning environment for our kids and kept our kids at the heart of all that we do. I hope that all take time to enjoy this summer! As we move into next year I know that all of us are looking forward to a more 'normal' school year. I know all of us are looking forward to enjoying so many of the traditions and events that could not take place these past couple of years. I also know that we will all appreciate the normalcy a whole lot more as we get into the swing of next year. We have missed our volunteers and have missed seeing faces within our building this past year. You are all important to us and we can't wait to roll into the upcoming school year! Again, have a GREAT summer full of fun, relaxation, and smiles!

Rose Glen Mission, Vision, and Values

Big picture
As we move into the upcoming school year, we would like to take a little time to revisit our mission, vision, and values. It seems to be the 'just right' time to do so as we move into the upcoming school year. It has been about 10 years since we have revised our mission, vision, and values. During these 10 year we have seen transition in families, staff, and school and district initiatives. Therefore, it seems like good timing to take a moment and reflect upon who we are and where we want to go. Rose Glen has so much to offer and that is in large part because of our greater community. To begin the process we would like to invite all to participate in a survey to gather your perspectives related to Rose Glen. Staff have already completed a survey and students in grades third through fifth during the 2020-2021 school year have already taken the survey. We are kindly requesting that families also take the short survey to ensure that your voice is integrated into the updated mission, vision, and values. We would also like to ensure that our younger students have a voice as well. It would be greatly appreciated if your child is going into first or second grade for the 2021-2022 school if you could assist in them taking the student survey. Again, we were already able to acquire the thoughts of our older students during the school day. Ultimately, we are looking for themes to emerge to develop our mission, vision, and values. THANK YOU for your assistance. The survey will close at the end of June and so please take a moment to complete as soon as possible!

* Adult should help complete. Remember there is no right or wrong answers :)

* Please complete by the end of June!
