Welcome to the Prairie Point Panther Press!
Principal's Letter
Prairie Point Families:
We have had an exciting week of learning. I was able to see this learning first hand on Monday when I had the opportunity to teach in a kindergarten classroom for the morning. Wow! I always feel so lucky to have the opportunity to return to the classroom, get to know students a little better and have fun hanging out with kids. On days that I cover in classrooms I go home SO TIRED and with a great appreciation for the work that our amazing teachers do each and every day.
Our 4th and 5th grade students have started taking the IAR test and are doing an awesome job. We are so proud of the attention and perseverance that they are showing during this state testing. Our 4th and 5th graders will continue to test next week. On April 26th our 3rd graders will begin taking the IAR test.
I would like to offer one quick reminder for families as we move into the beautiful spring weather. While dogs are welcome to come through the pick up / drop off line in a car, please remember that when walking to pick up children, dogs cannot be on school property. If you would like to walk your dog and wait for your child on the path, just let the classroom teacher know so that we know to look for you on the path before dismissing your child. Thank you for understanding.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jennifer Groves
Principal

COME DRAW WITH ME IN APRIL
April ART is going to be so much fun. From jumping dogs, flying ducks, spectacular scorpions and amazing action words, let's continue to work together to keep the kids connected to ART and to each other, virtually.
Parents, please don't think of this as more remote screen time. The kids who have been drawing me with virtually already know that this is FUN creative time! Through drawing, we wake up our imaginations. We un-mute. We tell stories about our pictures. We meet new ART friends.
To my current ART'mates, THANK YOU for your continued loyalty to me and to ART. I am super excited to draw more amazing pictures with you in April and introduce you to more new ART friends. You can find the direct registration links below.
If your family hasn't drawn with me virtually yet, try one class first. Your child will thank you and I will too. Only $8/class. Siblings (and adults) living in the same household draw with me for free. Choose your preferred day and time below. Zoom link will land in your inbox 30 minutes before drawing time. COME DRAW WITH ME.
Artfully yours,
MRS. G
