LYNX - Year 1 Review
LYNX Grade 9: Success Plans
Our current 9th graders (FHS Class of 2022) have started conferencing with LYNX Advocates to create Student Success Plans and are working on 9th grade Naviance tasks during Advocacy block (10:20-10:55 a.m.)
Sept. 24: LYNX Advocates visited 8th graders at West Frederick Middle School to introduce LYNX. They will return on November 29th to begin discussing the scheduling process for the FHS Class of 2023!
Oct. 4: LYNX Advocates will meet with 8th grade future Cadets at Crestwood Middle School and the Frederick Classical Charter School.

LYNX Grade 10: Skills for Careers
On Friday September 21, seventeen LYNX partners from local businesses, our community, and higher education spoke with 10th graders about "The Importance of the First Impression" during Advocacy block (10:20-10:55 a.m.) Students interacted with our partners through presentations, role plays, Nearpod technology, and great conversations. Our speaker series continues later this month!

Our 1:1 digital learning environment enables personalized learning opportunities for students to master content at their own pace. Students also develop the skills to apply their content knowledge and demonstrate "competency" in every subject area.
All FHS staff members are engaged in professional learning as we transition to competency-based education.

LYNX students in grades 9 and 10 can choose a traditional, staggered, or extended schedule.

LYNX Learning Lab: Did you know?
All FHS students (grades 9-12) can come to the LYNX Learning Lab (media center) for tutoring, independent study, collaborative work, and guest presentations with LYNX partners.

Session I: 2:20 - 3:40 pm (daily)
FREE Dinner: 3:45-4:15 pm (daily) *bus at 4:20 pm
Session 2: 4:20 - 5:40 pm (T/W/R) *bus at 5:45 pm
Students should sign up before 2:15 pm on the day they plan to attend: Learning Lab Sign-up Form
