Back to Usual

With all the buzz, heartache, and hard times around the "near strike," I wanted to take a moment to thank you as families, the Tustumena Family, for all your extra effort and acknowledge the tough place you were in because of this issue. I hope and pray we are never in it again.

I am delighted we are focused back on our #1 issue, educating the children of our community. I also want to testify to the focus our educators have had on education. There were some horror stories around the district of emotions running wild over this issue. This was understandable, but the Tustumena staff must be super-human, because they never flinched. I am proud to work with some of the best people on the planet and to live in this supportive community.

Thank you.

Doug Hayman

Principal

A Message from Nurse Claudette:

In today’s world, we are faced with conflict on a daily basis. Some conflicts are bigger than others and teaching our children how to handle conflict will help them in the future. The following information is a good suggestion on how to talk to your children about handling conflict. It’s never too early to teach them!
