SUPERINTENDENT'S REPORT
Dr. Nikki Roorda provided the board with an update regarding the spring ISASP testing, including the number of students district-wide who took the test, subjects tested, how results are used, and then how parents can access and analyze results.- In-Person testing took place April 19-May 14; At-home/Remote Digital Dragons occurred May 17 – May 28
- 4,556 students took the test in person; 417 took the test at home.
- Students in grades 3-11 take Math and English Language Arts; Grades 5, 8, and 10 also complete Science tests
- It is intended to provide helpful information on areas in which students are performing well and areas in which they may need additional support.
- The district can use this information to help identify areas where there may be potential holes in our curricular scope/sequence, areas where we may need to add curricular resources or supports for our teachers and/or students, and identify areas of professional learning to enhance the instructional strategies used in our classrooms.
- By August 2021, parents will be able to log on to the new ISASP parent portal to view student test outcomes. The portal will allow for year-over-year viewing of individual student results.
