On Tuesday we have our monthly early dismissal day for staff professional learning. School will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Busses and KIN will run starting at 12:30pm. Please plan accordingly.

News and Upcoming Events

Art: Attention 5th and Kindergarten parents, or any parent or guardian who loves creating art. We’ll be doing TWO art lessons this week. As always, if you would like to volunteer to help, please make sure you have your required DPS clearance, and email Amanda Bennett at (not gmail) and let her know which class(es) you would like to help with!

WEDNESDAY, February 1st: 5th Grade’s LAST lesson

Mrs. Hildebrand's class will be from 9:00-10:00 and Mrs. Lussier’s class from 10:15-11:15.

FRIDAY, February 3rd: Kindergarten’s lesson

Mr. Straube's class will be from 11:30-12:25, Mrs. Knapp’s class from 12:30-1:15, and Ms. Marhofer’s class from 1:30-2:25.

Carnival: Northwood's Spring CARNIVAL will be held on Saturday, April 1st from 2-6pm! This is our largest fundraiser & event sponsored by the PTA. There will be lots of fun, food & laughs for April Fool’s Day:) There are many ways to help, please see below for more details on how you can help make this event a success. First Annual Northwood Spelling Bee: On Monday, February 6th at 8am, the top classroom spellers from grades 3-5 will compete to earn the title of Northwood’s champion speller! All families are invited to join us in the cafeteria to cheer on our super spellers. The winner of the Northwood spelling bee will move on to the Scripps regional spelling bee in New Braunfels, held in March.

Join PTA: When you join the PTA, you join a community that encourages student achievement and builds a partnership between our families and our school. PTA organizes teacher appreciation, provides classroom grants, supports student enrichment programs, and so much more. We believe that together we can help our children be successful. Go to and sign up online or submit cash or check to the front office. Payment envelopes are available. The membership fee is $7.00 per person and there is an additional $1.50 transaction fee for joining online. Consider having both parents, grandparents and even your child join! Visitors on Campus

All visitors to campus will be required to present an ID and receive a visitors badge through the Raptor system in order to come into the building during the school day. We understand that this may not be convenient, but it is necessary in order to ensure safety.
