Parent Teacher Conference

Parent Involvement-Key to Student Success in School & Life!

Over 30 yrs of research has demonstrated that students whose parents/guardians are involved both at school and home are more successful-in school and life.


AAVA will hold Parent-Teacher Conferences:

**Wednesday, April 1, 2:00-6:00 pm

**Thursday, April 2, 1:00-3:00 pm

Your student's Graduation Plan and Credit Evaluations will be reviewed during the conference.


You will be able to pick up your students Progress Report in the office during conference times to enable you to review with your student's mentor teachers. ** If you have any questions, please call (810)591-0850 or email: nmarisa@athertonschools.org or scarlson@athertonschools.org.

Spring Break

Students will attend a full day of school on Thursday, April 2, 2015; Spring break will follow immediately after and classes will resume Monday, April 13, 2015. For those students who wish to get ahead in their classes during this time, we encourage them to log in to Gradpoint (https://atcs4237.gradpoint.com). Please see Mrs. Marisa before break begins regarding specifics. We hope everyone has a safe break filled with lots of rest and fun!

Prom

Saturday, May 9th, 7pm

Frankenmuth, MI

The end of the school year is fast approaching and that means Prom is near! Prom is on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. Tickets will go on sale ($20 per ticket) for juniors and seniors on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Atherton High School. There are only 140 tickets available for sale on a first come, first serve basis. All AVA students must be approved by Mrs. Carlson prior to purchasing tickets. Guest passes are due Friday, April 24, 2015 and must be approved by the principal (guests 21 or over will not be admitted into prom under any circumstances). Students will be allowed to drive to Prom and the high school will offer a bus if at least 25 students sign up; bus sign up sheets will also be available April 13, 2015 at Atherton High School in the office.

Graduation

Sunday, May 31st, 1:30pm

The Graduation Ceremony for AAVA's graduating students will be held at Atherton High School on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 1:30 pm. In order to participate in the Graduation ceremony, students must complete ALL course work by Friday, May 29, 2015. A fee of $32.00 is required for the students cap, gown and tassel; we will send out ordering information sometime in the near future. Seniors, it is time to settle in and really get to work completing your classes. We look forward to presenting all of our hard workers with their diplomas on this special day!
