New This Week!
Why buy NEW when you can make it YOU?
The Wicker is Coming! The Wicker is Coming!
Hey Tanglewood Fans,
Happy Spring! First, a little housekeeping, the Shop will be CLOSED on Sunday, March 27 in observance of the Easter holiday. We'll be OPEN on Saturday, March 26 from 10:00 am - 5:00pm, stop on by and say hello! Of course, if you MUST shop for upcycled furniture when we're closed, remember our website is OPEN 24/7 for furniture purchases!
The Wicker is Coming, the Wicker is Coming (and Loads of Iron too!)
We've had lots of Tanglewood Fans already asking about the upcoming Community Forklift Garden Party on Saturday, April 2. We like to think of Tanglewood Works as the "front porch" of the Forklift's Annual Garden Party. Where else can you find planters made from recycled toilets and wind chimes made from spoons? We're gonna have #fabulous and #funky garden decor to help you create magical outdoors spaces. The Tanglewood Team will also have clever “garden-themed” upcycle activity sheets for projects that are great for children and adults. Be sure to check out our sample projects on display to inspire you to create your own “funky junk” garden decor with recycled materials.
Gateway Arts District Creative Upcycling DIY Meetups
The March Meetups were SO much fun and I'm really so excited about what we've got in store for our first April Meetup: Upcycled Fiber Arts & The Yarnians are Coming!* Join us for fiber fun on Wednesday, April 6 from 7:00 - 9:00pm. We'll be hosting our favorite local group of knitters and fiber artists otherwise known as The Yarnians. Most of these ladies use #reclaimed yarn and old clothes in their creations and they will be happy to assist you in your upcycled fiber arts journey as well. Bring your knitting project, your hand sewing project, even bring that felting and we will gather as creatives do. Click here for more information and to sign up for our next Meetup!
* There is a $10 materials fee to participate and please bring a snack or beverage to share with your new #upcyclejunkies friends.
