Kris Mayes Named Director of Special Education

Kris Mayes has been named Director of Special Education for Henderson County Schools.
Mayes received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Science in Psychology and a Post-Master's Specialist degree in School Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. Mayes also holds a Director of Special Education-Level 1 from the University of the Cumberlands.
Mayes has been with Henderson County Schools since 2008 as a School Psychologist and served this past year as the Special Education Consultant.
“It is with great pride and excitement that I take on this new challenge. I look forward to being a part of the continued excellence of Henderson County Schools and supporting our district’s mission of providing extraordinary educational opportunities for EVERY student. I am thankful for this amazing opportunity,” Mayes commented.
