Mental Effects
"Because bodies are readily apparent and widely held market of value and status, large individuals- even those who are not obese-often have trouble making and maintaining social relationships" People believe they need to fit a certain image to be worthy of somebodies friend.
Physical Effects
Being anorexic, bulimic, or taking laxatives can cause irregular or loss of menstruation, skin problems, irregular heartbeats, kidney and liver damage, loss of bone mass, hair loss, infertility, cardiac arrest and death.
Society destroys us mentally and physically just by simply giving us the perfect image of beauty. Girls, mostly need to accept their bodies instead of taking drastic measures that end up hurting them just to hold the expectation society tries to set up for us.
